So finally Avid sold Softimage to Autodesk and everybody is asking themselves what position to take, in any case I don't see anything good out of it apart from leaving the Avid ship which seems never understood the 3D market.
What is going to happen down the line we will see but my take is that customer support, Q&A, sales and the lot will be slimmed down to its bare bones if not mixed and of course we are going to see plenty of jokes.
On the foreseable future I wonder what type of company is this that controls 95% of the market and their reason to innovate or invest in 3 products instead of one so let's get ready for the shake-up.
Sad day for everybody.
