Are meetings a necessary evil or just a waste of time?

We all know every now and then the same subject appears; naming conventions, directory structures, production tools and what not... and I guess is necessary but how much money would we save if there was a true simple free open source solution to these issues?

Seems to me the new session of The Apprentice is coming quite strong with mad ideas, ridiculous projects and people I would not trust my company to.

Seems like a paradox, some banks are own by the Government, us in fact, we need credit to keep having a roof, feeding our families, running our businesses yet they carry on behaving like the masters of the universe.

Can someone explain to me what the fuck were the European "leaders" doing talking about the Israel-Palestinian conflict today? Seems to me like TV is the real purpose isn't it?

Seems to me the description of things can be certainly the most tricky part of a project, do we all read the nuances of an explanation? I do not think so, it takes years of work to mind read.

Seems meetings are vital yet almost impossible to control, good thing there are some pole dancing bar close to make the most of the decision making process.
